Welcome!

I'm Denise and I'm going to be writing here about all that I've learned in Bible Study Fellowship each week.  Just two weeks ago I started BSF.  It is a 50 year old international bible study that focuses on one book of the bible each year.  This year we are studying Isaiah.  I actually started mid year so I'll be sharing what I'm learning from chapters 39-66.  Each week we take a small portion of God's word and really dig deep into each verse.  Within the first week I realized that I needed to share what I was learning.

A few comments before we get started:

1.  I experienced my time in the desert, literally, figuratively, physically and spiritually in 2010.  Some of you walked with me through that dark, dark season.  When I write here I want you to realize where I am coming from.

To say that I am a sinner and need Jesus is the understatement of eternity.

2.  Prayers from many while I was in the desert were answered.  My life was saved.  I have been given a second chance.  I've learned what it is to trust God.  It's risky and scary.  But it's the only way.

3.  That being said, this blog will be filled with scripture and God's truth.  He disciplines us.  He loves us.  He comforts us.  I hope you'll feel the love and comfort here.

4.  The reason for my sharing what I've learned: Obedience.  Plain and simple.  Ephesians 6:7 tells us: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men.  I am serving God through this blog.  Seems small, right?  Check this verse out: Matthew 25:21

I would love for you to follow along and leave comments if you read something that speaks to you or if you love/hate the blog.  Please share prayer requests.  I'm praying for each of my readers already.  (That means you!)

I love you,
Denise
